About Saddle & Spite

Saddle & Spite was created by a real horsewoman for women whose lives revolve around horses.

I’ve spent more than 30 years around horses and live on a Texas ranch, where barn chores, feed schedules, unexpected vet bills, and “I’ll only be five minutes” are part of everyday life. My family has been involved with horses and competitions since 1995, and my daughter grew up to become a horse trainer. Around here, horses have never been a hobby. They shape our schedules, our spending, our friendships, and more often than not, our entire lives.

After retiring, I wanted to create something that brought together my love of horses, creativity, and the wonderfully unreasonable reality of horse ownership. That became Saddle & Spite.

This isn’t generic horse-themed apparel. Our designs are inspired by the things only another horsewoman truly understands: choosing the barn over almost anywhere else, spending the money on the horse first, and watching a quick visit turn into hours of grooming, treats, wound care, and simply enjoying their company.

Saddle & Spite is for independent, horse-obsessed women who can laugh at the expensive, exhausting, deeply rewarding life they’ve chosen—and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Every item is created after it is ordered, allowing us to offer original designs while avoiding unnecessary overproduction.
